How to display RSS feed in WordPress?

Written by

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication – a web feed format that publishes frequent updates to your site's content such as news, articles, etc.

Publishers benefit from RSS feeds as this allows them to distribute site content automatically. Readers benefit from feeds by getting timely updates when something new is published on their favorite websites.

WordPress gives you the option to easily add an RSS feed to your website. To do so, follow these steps:

  • Access your WordPress dashboard and go to Widgets in the Appearance section.
  • Click Add next to the RSS widget.
  • In the Current Widgets section on the right, click Edit for the RSS widget.
  • Add the RSS feed URL (title is optional) and review the content you want to display.
  • Click Done and then save the changes to publish the RSS to the website.
